Who are we?
A family affair…
The Giorgi family’s hospitality business began in 1979 with the opening of Hôtel des Congrès, an ideally located three-star property opposite Lyon’s Tête d’Or Park.
Forty-two years later, the Arteloge group has become the leading independent hospitality group in Lyon with a collection of six properties, each with its own identity.
Six restaurants, a spa, a travel agency and high-end furnished rentals.
The 300 employees of this family-run company, managed by Eric Giorgi are driven by their passion to provide truly excellent service.
A few dates
1979 : opening of Hôtel des Congrès*** in Villeurbanne. A 3-star hotel with 132 rooms and an ideal location, opposite the Tête d’Or Park and just minutes from Lyon’s Conference Centre and city centre.
1983 : opening of Lyon Métropole Hotel**** on the banks of the Saône river. A unique hotel in the city with incredible facilities: 174 rooms and apartments, 12 meeting rooms, a brasserie overlooking an Olympic pool and a one-of-a-kind spa.
1993 : opening of Villa Florentine***** and its restaurant Les Terrasses de Lyon on the iconic Fourvière hill. A former 16th century convent, the flagship property of the Arteloge Group has a truly stunning location and offers a magical and unique setting in Lyon.
1995 : Villa Florentine becomes a Relais & Châteaux property. Its gourmet restaurant Les Terrasses de Lyon is awarded a prestigious Michelin star which it still boasts today.
2003 : an extension is built to Villa Florentine***** : 9 new rooms and suites are added to the accommodation at this Relais & Châteaux hotel.
2012 : opening of Lyon-Ouest Hotel*** in Lyon’s 9th arrondissement. A new property to meet the expectations of every client, offering a full range of services: 102 rooms, a restaurant, meeting rooms, a children’s area, a cardio gym, a bar, a car park and more.
The apartment building at Lyon Métropole Hotel**** is opened the same year. 57 studios and apartments enhance the group’s accommodation for long-term stays.
2015 : ParKest Hotel*** in Genas opens in July 2015. Ideally situated just minutes from St-Exupéry Airport, major motorways and Eurexpo Convention Centre, the hotel has 106 rooms, an Italian restaurant, a children’s area, a bar, a wellness area and 3 meeting rooms.
2017 : opening of ParkSaône Hotel***. The group’s most recent 3-star property, which is next to Lyon-Ouest Hotel***, provides additional quality accommodation in Vaise, with 100 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a panoramic cardio gym and 4 meeting rooms.
2018 : acquisition of the STRATEGY travel agency, on Boulevard des Brotteaux in Lyon. Renamed Millevista Voyages, it completes the group’s offering and spearheads Arteloge’s loyalty programme.
2019 : launch of the Paradinest website, specialising in high-end furnished rentals.
2020 : transformation of Les Terrasses de Lyon, the restaurant at Villa Florentine*****. A custom-made panoramic glass roof, an incredible architectural feat, enhances our clients’ experience, providing a view of the city in every season.
2022 : opening of the new Lyon Plage Spa. An 8,000 m² facility for wellness and fitness in the heart of Lyon. The only spa of its kind in France!

GO GREEN Programme
Having been mindful of the environmental impact of the hospitality industry for many years, the Arteloge Group has developed an environmentally responsible programme called GO GREEN.
This is a collective environmental approach which each member of Arteloge’s staff is made aware of when joining the company. It involves a series of practical and specific initiatives, from raising awareness to the search for quality labels.

- Hotels with the Accueil Vélo/Bike Friendly label, to promote soft mobility
- Lyon Métropole Hotel was the first hotel in Lyon to be given this label.
- A hybrid vehicle fleet for all our teams’ travel.
- Replacing plastic bottles with CRYO microfiltered water
- Collecting and recycling soap in our hotels for humanitarian projects.
- Short supply chains and Fairtrade products and ingredients. (e.g. Café Richard®)
- Using non-polluting cleaning products, most of which have environmental quality labels
- Guests can choose whether or not to have their towels changed.
